Epoch Movement: UNIMEDSU Backs COMR. Afeez Akinteye Babatunde for NANS Presidency

The University of Medical Sciences Students’ Union, under the leadership of Kalejaiye Abolaji John, proudly declares its support for the candidacy of Comrade Afeez Akinteye Babatunde, popularly known as BABTEE, for the office of President of the National Association of Nigerian Students.

Comrade BABTEE has consistently distinguished himself through a unique, inclusive, and result-oriented leadership style that reflects vision, capacity, and commitment to the Nigerian student movement. His track records, antecedents, and years of active service within student leadership structures clearly demonstrate that he possesses the blueprint and administrative competence needed to reposition NANS and strengthen student representation across the country.

As a Union, we strongly believe that his emergence as NANS President will usher in purposeful governance, effective advocacy, improved student welfare, and a more progressive direction for the association. There is no doubt that he will discharge the responsibilities of the office with dedication, courage, accountability, and excellence.

We also sincerely appreciate Comrade BABTEE for creating time out of his busy schedule to visit our institution and commission the Students’ Union Sit-Out Project. His presence, words of encouragement, and generous donation of One Million Naira towards student development further reflect his commitment to supporting student causes and investing in structures that promote student welfare and engagement.

At this crucial point in the history of NANS, we call on all Students’ Union Presidents, stakeholders, and delegates to look beyond sentiments and carefully consider competence, credibility, leadership records, and proven antecedents in making decisions that will place Nigerian students and student welfarism in a better and more progressive state.

The future of NANS must be entrusted to visionary leadership, and Comrade Afeez Akinteye Babatunde (BABTEE) represents that vision.

Signed:

Kalejaiye Abolaji John
