Former Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has praised Kano Pillars players for their fighting spirit after the club successfully avoided relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Kano Pillars lost 1-0 to Plateau United in Jos on Sunday, but still managed to remain in the NPFL after finishing 15th on the table with 48 points from 38 matches.
Musa said the team showed strength, determination and character despite their difficult start to the season.
He also thanked fans, supporters and football lovers in Kano State and across Nigeria for standing by the club throughout the campaign.
According to him, the support and prayers from fans played a big role in helping the club survive in the top division.
