Adekanmbi Calls for Calm, Urges Aiyedatiwa to Unify Ondo APC



The Managing Director of the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority, Hon. Olufemi Adekanmbi, PhD has appealed for calm among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, warning that internal wrangling could derail the party’s prospects in future elections.

In a terse statement on Tuesday, Adekanmbi urged the governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa to immediately convene a broad stakeholders’ meeting involving party elders, leaders, and critical stakeholders to address the growing tension and chart a common path forward.

He described the current situation as a political quagmire, and one that requires urgent and collective intervention to prevent further division within the ruling party.

The APC chieftain cautioned aspirants against heating up the polity, reminding them that only one candidate would eventually emerge as the party’s flag bearer at the appropriate time.
