2027: In A Free and Fair Election,The APC Is Not Going To Win The Presidential Election - Ayodele Reveals

In a recent video shared on Facebook on May 10, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele spoke about Nigeria’s political future ahead of the 2027 general elections, particularly focusing on the presidential race and the chances of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

During the video, Ayodele stated that the APC could face major difficulties in securing victory if the election process is conducted fairly and transparently.

“In a free and fair election, the APC is not going to win the presidential election,” he said.

The cleric explained that several factors usually determine election outcomes in Nigeria, including voter sentiment, party structure, national acceptance of candidates, and the ability of political parties to build strong coalitions across the country.

According to Ayodele, although the ruling party may possess institutional advantages, such advantages alone may not be enough to guarantee electoral success in 2027. He argued that opposition parties could become more competitive if they are able to unite and organize effectively ahead of the election season.

Ayodele also stressed the importance of nationwide voter mobilization, noting that any party hoping to win the presidency must build support across different regions of Nigeria rather than relying on isolated strongholds.

He further described Nigeria’s political environment as highly dynamic, with shifting alliances and changing political interests capable of influencing the direction of future elections.

The cleric advised political stakeholders to focus on strategy, unity, credibility, and public confidence as the country moves closer to the 2027 presidential contest. According to him, the performance of political leaders and the perception of voters will play major roles in shaping the final outcome.
