A Nigerian woman has ignited extensive online debate after explicitly rejecting the concept of subordination in partnerships, despite expectations related to provision.
In a video circulating on social media, the lady questioned the rationale of males demanding submission from their partners just because they give financially.
She stated that simply providing for a spouse does not entitle one to control or dominance in the relationship.
Read her words below;
“Provide and I won’t submit. Submit bawo. Your mommy and your sisters and your brothers that you’re providing for, are they submitting to you when it comes to your partner, to your girl? You want me to bow down to as you Jehovah Jireh. You will provide and I will not submit.”

@davidoghe said: “This modern day women will never understand a thing but age will humble them with this mentality, they’ll say anything to want to be equal to their husband but still surprised and shocked when no husband is forthcoming. Everyday they keep coming out with different takes, men don’t come out to tackle their takes, we just sit and watch, action speaks louder than voice.”
@xexiboy2 remarked: “Some of you think everything is a joke in this life. You might have said this just to gain followers but what you don’t know is that you have already placed yourself in the “don’t bother to marry her” list. By the time you clock 40 and still remain single, you still won’t realize your mouth joked, but life didn’t take it as joke.”
