Mosque Shoe thief Finally Caught In Jigawa


A suspected serial thief has been apprehended for allegedly stealing worshippers’ shoes during prayers at a mosque in Hadejia, Jigawa State.

According to eyewitness Muhammed Sani Yusuf, the incident happened on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at a mosque located along Maje Road. The suspect, who had reportedly been operating unnoticed for a long time, was finally caught in the act.

Reports suggest that the number of shoes stolen over time remains unknown, as many victims had previously been left confused after discovering their footwear missing after prayers.

The arrest has sparked mixed reactions among residents, with many expressing relief that the long-standing issue of missing shoes in the area may finally come to an end.
