Nigerian music star Bella Shmurda has shared a heartfelt account of his humble beginnings, revealing that he once earned just ₦20,000 monthly while working at a food factory owned by Dangote Group in Ikorodu, Lagos.
In a viral interview clip making rounds on social media, the “Cash App” crooner reflected on his journey before stardom, explaining how he took up a factory job packaging noodles—commonly known as Indomie—to survive as an aspiring artist.
“Everyone has suffered before… I worked at Dangote’s food factory packaging Indomie and was earning ₦20k monthly,” he said.
According to the singer, the job was his only source of income at the time, as he had no strong financial backing or established fanbase. When asked whether he had any additional earnings, Bella responded candidly that the ₦20,000 salary was all he relied on.
“It was not all good oh… if it were all good I wouldn’t go to the factory. But it is all good. Those are things that I just remember now,” he added.
