Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has shared a surprising experience involving an unexpected romantic proposal from a married woman, which left her both shocked and uncomfortable.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actress said the incident occurred while she was on her way out to buy food. According to her, the woman approached her in a calm and friendly way, which initially made her think it could be related to her acting career or even her philanthropic activities.
However, Martins explained that the situation soon took a different direction when the woman made a personal and inappropriate proposal, even attaching a large sum of money to it. She said she was completely taken aback by the request and immediately turned it down without hesitation.
She stated that she felt no interest or comfort with such an offer, stressing that it was never something she could entertain. According to her, she ended the conversation right away and walked away from the scene.
Reflecting on the encounter, Martins questioned the behaviour involved and used the opportunity to highlight that inappropriate advances are not limited to any particular gender.
