Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has come under intense criticism following an alleged threat against opposition figures and two TikTokers over the 2027 political conversation.
The backlash followed a viral video in which Igboho openly declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid, while warning against campaigns for opposition figures such as Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in Yorubaland.
> “Tinubu for second term, 100 per cent. No more Atiku, Obi. Asiwaju for life… bring Atiku or Obi to Yorubaland, you will learn.”
His remarks sparked strong reactions online, especially from TikToker Wale Aburumoku, popularly known as Funny Thinker, who challenged Igboho’s authority to restrict political activities in the region.
According to him, every politician has the constitutional right to campaign in any part of Nigeria, stressing that democracy must be respected.
The controversy deepened after a viral voice note allegedly linked to Igboho surfaced, claiming he issued a 24-hour ultimatum for his supporters to bring Funny Thinker and another TikToker, Babaalado, to him in Ibadan.
The incident has since triggered heated debate on free speech, political rights, and democratic principles ahead of the next election cycle.
