Senator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero, representing Kebbi Central Senatorial District on Wednesday empowered thousands of his supporters and loyalists across the 8 local governments areas of Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo, Bunza, Jega, Gwandu, Maiyama, Koko-Besse and Alieru in kebbi Central Senatorial District.
Some of the empowerment items he distributed to his supporters at the premises of Labana Rice Mill in Birnin kebbi include 20 tractors, 11 mini -buses ,12,000 bags of rice, 1,000 bags of millet, 1,000 bags of maize and 4 truck-load of fertilizer.
While thanking Senator Aliero's supporters for sustaining their support and loyalty to him and the ruling party, APC, Alhaji Samaila Bui, a close associate of the senator said Aliero had earlier distributed cows, refrigerators and other items to women in his constituents as part of the dividend of democracy to the people.
His Senior Legislative Aide, Dr. Abubakar Bello Udulu affirmed Aliero's commitment to the discharge of his constitutional responsibility as a legislator by uplifting the wellbeing the communities in his constituency.
“These enormous items have been specifically provided for women, youths, Religious Leaders, Traditional Rulers and persons with special needs.I am appealing to all my followers to exercise restraint, remain peaceful in our political journey. All issues arising from the APC State Congress held on Tuesday will be resolved amicably”, Aliero assured supporters.
The Kebbi APC Vice-chairman, Ado Mudi Augie, commended the Legislator for his benevolence and compassion to his constituents, urging the beneficiaries to use the materials judiciously.
Other speakers on the occasion were, Shehu Idris, the Zonal Vice Chairman, APC Kebbi Central and younger brother to the state governor; former member House of Assembly, Salihu Bui; incumbent member, Muhammad Buhari Aliero and former Commissioner Atiku Bunu.
They all urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the agricultural implements and inputs to further strengthen food production to justify the status as a veritable food basket of Nigeria besides improving their socioeconomic conditions.
