2027: KWAM1’S Daughter Joins race for Lagos Assembly

 
Damilola Ayinde Marshal, daughter of Fuji music legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, has officially declared her ambition to run for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2027 elections.

Currently serving as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Tourism, Arts & Culture, Damilola plans to represent Surulere Constituency II, bringing her experience in law and public service into the legislative arena.

She emphasized that her background equips her to understand governance and the needs of her community, pledging to be a strong voice for young people and women.

Her entry into the race marks a growing trend of young Nigerians stepping into politics, promising fresh energy and a focus on meaningful representation ahead of the 2027 polls.
