"I haven’t cried like this in a long time" – Lady shares emotional experience with schoolboy returning from school

A compassionate Nigerian lady recently shared a heartfelt story that moved many people online. She described how deeply touched she was when she saw a young schoolboy returning from classes pick up a discarded takeaway pack from the ground and went to a quiet corner to eat the leftover food inside it.

According to the x user @cocoofabuja, the boy walked past her POS stand, spotted the pack on the floor, picked it up without hesitation, and went to sit aside to consume what little remained. The sight brought tears to her eyes, as it highlighted the h4rsh realities of hvnger and poverty that some children face.

Feeling emotional and unable to ignore the moment, she quickly called the boy over. She gently asked him to throw away the unhygienic leftovers, then gave him ₦1,000 to go buy food for himself. To her surprise, the honest young boy soon returned with the change.

She was so overwhelmed by his integrity and humility that she reportedly cr¡ed like a baby afterward, and told him whenever he closes from school, he should stop by and collect money for lunch from her.
