A Nigerian nail technician has stirred serious conversation online after calling out members of her church for what she described as entitlement.
In a now-viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she revealed that while she was struggling to learn nail fixing and desperately needed financial help, not a single church member showed up for her. According to her, it was her sister alone who paid for her training and supported her until she became fully skilled.
Fast-forward to now — she says some church members suddenly approached her, asking her to train eight girls for free. She described the request as disrespectful and insensitive, especially considering how no one helped her during her own journey.
In her words:
“When I was learning how to fix nails, no church member assisted me. No day did my mother go to church to say my daughter needs help. My sister did everything.”
Her story quickly sparked mixed reactions online. Many users backed her, calling out what they described as an entitlement mindset in some churches. Others, however, argued that offering free training through the church should be seen as service, not business.
