Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti, has dismissed social media reports alleging that he held a closed-door political meeting with Rabiu Kwankwaso, ex-governor of Kano, at his Abuja residence as false.
In a statement issued by Ahmad Sajo, head of his media office, Fayemi described the report as a “blatant lie” that would likely surprise Kwankwaso as well, urging the public to disregard it.
The claim, which surfaced on X and was posted via handles such as June 12 Movement and ADC Vanguard, was accompanied by an old video clip showing Fayemi greeting Kwankwaso at his residence.
