Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has expelled 60 students from various departments over examination malpractice.
The decision was taken at the university’s 43rd statutory Senate meeting held on January 7, 2026.
The university reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy on academic dishonesty, stressing that strict sanctions will continue to be enforced to protect the integrity and credibility of its academic processes and degree awards.
BUK said the action is meant to deter future misconduct and promote a culture of honesty, fairness, and academic excellence among students.
