A school teacher Mr Fatai Adegoke, has d1ed after he was brutally assavlted by students he cautioned from gambling during school hours at Soun High School, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
Eyewitness narrated that the incident occurred when Mr. Adegoke confronted a group of students reportedly caught gambling in a classroom.
The source said that the eraged students pounced on Adegoke and be@t him fiercely to the point of breaking his limbs.
The teacher was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later d1ed from the injuries sustained in the assault.
“With deep pain and righteous indignation, we mourn the tragic and avoidable de@th of Mr. Fatai Adegoke, a dedicated teacher who was brutally attacked by his own students while trying to stop them from gambling during school hours,” the coalition said in a statement”
Meanwhile, the students involved in the attack were said to be on the run.
