VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON THE COORDINATOR, ONDO STATE YOUTH NETWORK, MR DARE DANIEL DABO
RESOLUTION FROM THE EMERGENCY MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2026
We, the Leadership of ondo North Senatorial District and the stakeholders of the Ondo State Youth Network, convened an emergency meeting today to deliberate on the state of our organization and the worrisome direction of its leadership.
After exhaustive deliberations, critical review of reports, and contributions by the leadership of Ondo North Senatorial District and the stakeholders, we unanimously resolve to pass a *VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE* on the State Coordinator of the Ondo State Youth Network, Mr. Dare Daniel Dabo.
This resolution became imperative due to the following established grounds:
1. FINANCIAL MISAPPROPRIATION AND LACK OF TRANSPARENCY
The Coordinator, Mr. Dare Daniel Dabo has consistently failed to render proper financial account of funds received on behalf of the network, including donations and sponsorships. There is no audited statement, no financial report to Congress, and expenditures are made without collective excecutive involvement and also funds were transferred to his personal account, in which it is a clear violation of our constitution.
*2. ABUSE OF POWER AND AUTOCRATIC LEADERSHIP*
The coordinator, Mr. Dare Daniel Dabo has turned the network into a personal estate, taking unilateral decisions without consultation of the executive or congress. Leadership has become autocratic, dictatorial, and completely alien to the democratic ideals of the youth movement.
*3. SELECTIVE DEALINGS OF THE EXECUTIVE*
Executive members have been sidelined, marginalized, and deliberately excluded from decision-making processes. Only a selected few loyalists are privy to information, while constitutional offices have been rendered redundant.
*4. ABSENCE OF CONGRESS AND DEMOCRATIC ENGAGEMENT*
For several months, no general congress has been convened despite repeated demands by members. The coordinator has refused to call Congress to give stewardship and receive input from members, thereby killing internal democracy.
5. FALSEHOOD ACCUSSATION
Furthermore, the coordinator has sustained a deliberate campaign of falsehood and character assassination against executive members who dare to question his actions. He consistently lies against committed executives, branding them as disloyal, anti-network, and saboteurs, simply to justify their exclusion. He fabricates allegations, distorts discussions, and peddles lies to stakeholders and members to discredit honest and hardworking executive members. This divide-and-rule tactic is aimed at silencing dissent and covering his misdeeds. No network can survive where the leader thrives on lies against his own team.
In light of the above, we hereby resolve as follows:
i. That the Coordinator has lost the trust and confidence of the majority of members and can no longer continue to lead this noble organization, Ondo State Youth Network (OSYN).
ii. That the Coordinator, Mr. Dare Dabo should immediately step aside to allow for an independent audit of the Network's finances from inception to date.
iii. That all executive members be accorded equal respect, fair treatment, and the opportunity to participate in the affairs of the Network without intimidation, victimisation, or arbitrary exclusion.
iv. That the Network establish or strengthen transparent financial reporting, proper documentation of transactions, collective decision-making, and regular accountability mechanisms to prevent future disputes and safeguard the organisation’s resources.
v. That the unity, integrity, credibility, and collective interests of the Ondo State Youth Network remain paramount above personal ambition, individual interests, or the authority of any officeholder.
Vi. That the EPC and all relevant stakeholders should urgently intervene to address these pertinent issues in order to restore peace, transparency and confidence in the Network.
We reaffirm our commitment to a transparent, accountable, and youth-driven Ondo State Youth Network.
