Veteran Nollywood actor and comedian, Okey Bakassi, has finally addressed reports claiming his marriage has crashed.
The actor took to his official page to debunk the rumour, describing it as disrespectful and fáke.
He wrote: "It's so disrespectful and sad, that out of desperation to get views or create viral content, someone will go to the extent of spreading fáké news about my very happy family. Please, my family, friends and fans, disregard any story about my wife and I having issues. It's the handiwork of ev!l and senseless people."
He urged the public to disregard the story and report the originator of the fáke news on X (Twitter) for violation, adding that his family is intact and in God's hands.
The rumour which went viral yesterday alleged that his wife filed for divorce years after he sponsored her nursing career in the United States.
He also shared lovely moments from his recent 25th wedding anniversary celebration with his wife, Ezinne, and children, where they were seen cutting a cake together.
