The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Ondo Axis has elected Comr. Elusoji Samuel Temitope, popularly known as SPIRIT, as its new General Secretary.
His emergence marks another milestone in his journey through student leadership, extending his experience from campus-based representation to a strategic administrative position within the broader student movement in Ondo State.
Having served at the institutional level as SUG President of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), his transition into the NANS JCC Ondo Axis Secretariat presents an opportunity to bring his experience in student administration, communication and coordination to a wider constituency.
The office of the General Secretary occupies a critical position in the administration of NANS. Beyond routine correspondence and documentation, it serves as the institutional memory of the association, providing the administrative framework through which decisions are recorded, communications are coordinated, and resolutions are translated into action.
For SPIRIT, the task ahead is to build a Secretariat that is efficient, transparent, responsive, and committed to institutional continuity. His vision centres on strengthening communication among member institutions, improving documentation and record preservation, promoting administrative accountability, and ensuring that the Secretariat functions as a dependable instrument of collective leadership.
His emergence also received the public endorsement of Comr. Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, popularly known as BABTEE, the NANS National President, whose support marked a significant moment in his political journey.
However, beyond endorsements and political alliances, the responsibility before the newly emerged General Secretary is to translate the confidence reposed in him into tangible administrative improvements and effective service to Nigerian students.
For SPIRIT, the vision is clear: to transform the Secretariat into the powerhouse of the association, where structure supports leadership, accountability strengthens trust, and documentation guarantees continuity.
