“My Son Is 34, Not 44” — Toluwanisings’ Father Speaks on Singer’s Age and Burial Dispute

The father of late Nigerian gospel singer Toluwanisings has addressed speculations surrounding his son’s age, insisting that the deceased was 34 years old and not 44, as claimed by some social media users.

During a recent interview, the grieving father disclosed that his son was born in 1992 and was initially given the Muslim name Sodiq before eventually embracing Christianity. He also revealed that the singer’s mother d!ed six months after his birth.

Responding to the conflicting reports about his son’s age, he maintained that he was in the best position to clarify the matter.

“My son is 34 years, not 44. People are just making different assumptions. I, the father, know when I gave birth to him,” he stated.

The father also described the painful circumstances surrounding how he learnt of his son’s d3ath.

According to him, he was attending a ceremony on Wednesday when he received an urgent phone call instructing him to return home. Not long afterwards, he began coming across photographs of his son online accompanied by RIP messages.

He further revealed that a disagreement emerged when he contacted his son’s wife to discuss plans for the burial.

According to his account, the wife proposed that the singer be laid to rest in a cemetery or church. However, he opposed the suggestions and expressed a preference for burying his son within his own house.

The proposal reportedly did not sit well with the wife, who explained that she would be uncomfortable living in a house where her husband had been buried.

Following her objection, the father suggested that the body be taken to their ancestral village so his son could be buried beside his late mother.

“If they won’t allow him to be buried inside his house, they should bring him down to the village where his mother is and bury him beside her,” he explained.

The father’s revelations have brought renewed attention to the circumstances surrounding Toluwanisings’ d3ath, particularly the disagreement over his final resting place and the conflicting claims about his age.
