A Nigerian woman has stirred reactions online after alleging that an RCCG assistant pastor secretly withdrew about ₦483,000 from his wife’s business account.
In a post shared on X, formerly Twitter, by @masurge7, she narrated how the business owner discovered that ₦264,000 was missing from her Moniepoint POS account and sought help to trace the withdrawals.
“A woman who knows I use Moniepoint POS machines in my business came to me yesterday. She noticed N264k was withdrawn from her POS. I dug into her account and realized the money was moved out with an ATM card. I asked her who she gave her POS ATM and she said she doesn’t have any ATM card.”
Further checks uncovered multiple withdrawals of ₦10,000, ₦12,000 and ₦7,000, among others, with the total reportedly amounting to about ₦483,000. In the course of the investigation, another ₦5,100 was withdrawn from the account. The transaction was traced to a nearby OPay agent.
The woman alleged that the business owner’s husband had secretly activated an ATM card linked to her account and had been using it to withdraw money from his wife’s business for two months without her knowledge.
“It turns out her husband had activated an ATM card on her account unknown to her and with that he has been withdrawing steadily from her business money for 2 months now. This man is an assistant Pastor in RCCG for that matter,” she added.
The revelation has triggered discussions around trust and financial transparency in marriage, with the man’s reported role as an RCCG assistant pastor drawing further attention to the allegation.
