2027: Don’t Be Deceived by Fine Policies — Sam Amadi Warns Nigerians

ABUJA, Nigeria – Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Dr Sam Amadi, has urged Nigerians to look beyond attractive policy promises when choosing candidates for the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Amadi said voters should consider the commitment of candidates to the Nigerian people and their ability to translate policies into meaningful outcomes.

He argued that policies can be changed or revised, but the commitment and priorities of those in government remain important.

Amadi also discussed President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies, saying the President’s manifesto was strong but that his administration has governed differently from the social-market philosophy outlined in it.

He noted that the removal of fuel subsidy has contributed to increased pressure on the cost of living and said there could be circumstances where productive subsidies are justified.

“People should not be deceived by policy but vote for who has the commitment to the Nigerian people first,” Amadi said.
