Highlighting the Forum's achievements over the years, the Secretary of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Oluwaseun Oladele, said the organisation had undertaken several community development initiatives, including empowerment and bursary programmes, installation of signposts at public facilities, annual academic excellence awards for outstanding pupils and students in public schools, renovation of parts of the Elemure's Palace and leadership capacity-building programmes for members.
The Forum also applauded Chief Funso Ogunla and his wife, the Agbelesebioba and Yeye Agbelesebioba of Emure-Ile Kingdom, respectively, for their investments in the community, particularly the establishment of Hi-Power Radio.
It described the investment as a significant contribution to the socioeconomic development of Emure-Ile, noting its potential to create employment opportunities, improve access to information and strengthen the community's presence in the media landscape.
The leadership observed that the establishment of the radio station demonstrated confidence in the economic potential of Emure-Ile and urged other well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture by investing in initiatives capable of advancing the community's development.
Beyond the anniversary celebration, the Forum expressed interest in establishing a lasting partnership with the station in the areas of youth-focused programming, public enlightenment and the promotion of community development initiatives.
Responding, the Managing Director, Engr. Paul Olotu, described the visit as unprecedented, noting that it was the first major courtesy visit by an organisation from the host community since the station commenced operations.
