UNIUYO First Class Graduates To Be Employed As Lecturers

The University of Uyo, UNIUYO, is set to restore its policy of engaging First Class graduates and training them as young lecturers in the University.
According to an internal memorandum dated September 21, 2026, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Iniobong Uko, has directed Heads of Departments to submit the particulars of students who graduated with First Class honours.

The memo requests Heads of Departments to check their departmental records and also consult previous Heads of Departments and past student leaders where necessary to identify deserving First Class graduates.

This initiative is aimed at giving outstanding graduates an opportunity to remain within the academic environment, develop their careers and be trained as future lecturers of the University.

If you graduated from UNIUYO with a First Class, this is an opportunity you should pay attention to.

Deserving graduates are encouraged to make enquiries through their respective departments and ensure their details are captured.
