A stale and recycled material has once again found its way into the public domain, purporting to list Hon. Timehin Adelegbe as APC candidate in Owo-Ose.
This desperate recirculation of outdated information only corresponds to the depth of political irrelevance into which the outgoing Member representing Owo-Ose Federal Constituency has sunk.
It is both laughable and instructive that the record of underperformance which has characterised Adelegbe’s tenure has now reached a point where the celebration of former news of candidacy is presented as achievement. The people of Owo-Ose have long moved on. They have embraced the candidacy of Barr. Ghani Rotimi Arobo (GRA), whose wide acceptability across the constituency stands as a powerful addition to the massive electoral support that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will receive in the forthcoming general elections, in concert with other eminent leaders of our party.
The consesus in Owo-Ose is clear even without any opposition or candidates in the electoral circle the people of Owo-Ose will stop Adelegbe from even voting for himself which will make any election null and void, without a valid vote. Political simpleton even understand that Hon. Adelegbe has overreached his luck. His boat has long capsided. All eminent sons and daughters of Owo-Ose have vehemently rejected him. He can return to Okeagbe to continue his political adventures.
Adelegbe was outrightly rejected by the people of Owo-Ose in the APC Direct Primary Election of 16 May. His subsequent reliance on support and machinations from outside the federal constituency is itself the clearest admission of a collapsed home base. The more urgent and alarming issue remains his willingness to surrender the political sovereignty of Owo-Ose to external forces. A constituency that once stood as a powerhouse of the old Ondo State is being reduced to a subjugated appendage. The people of Owo-Ose will vote only for their liberation.
We remain grateful that the courts have upheld the mandate freely given by the people to Barr. Ghani Rotimi Arobo — a true son of the soil who embodies the indomitable virtues, dignity, and progressive spirit of the Owo and Ose people.
Let it be clearly stated: the purported “life-support machine” list currently in circulation is an obsolete document. It is not the latest amended list that affirms the collective will and glory of the people of Owo-Ose.
No amount of recycled narrative or external political life-support will alter the reality on the ground. Owo-Ose has moved on. We have rejected Adelegbe. Our support is firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Barr. Ghani Rotimi Arobo in the 2027 general elections.
This is the path of victory — not the path of any aspirant surviving on political life-support from outside the constituency. One who cannot provide a single page of his 8 years of cancerous representation of our people.
