Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted a UN humanitarian aid convoy in South Kordofan state, killing one person and injuring two others, a local medical group said on Thursday.
In a statement, the Sudan Doctors Network said that the convoy was attacked in the town of Dilling while it was traveling to Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan.
One person was killed and two truck drivers were injured in the attack, the group said.
It said the convoy was carrying life-saving humanitarian assistance for more than 5,000 civilians facing severe shortages of food, medicine and other basic necessities.
The group condemned the attack, describing it as part of what it called a recurring pattern of RSF attacks on international humanitarian aid convoys and obstruction of assistance to civilians.
