Management, however, has reiterated the need for students to comply with the institution's dress code, with its attendant sanctions for indecent dressing on campus.
To curb the growing impunity which has become worrisome, management has directed invigilators and hall supervisors to deny entry into examination halls to any student who is indecently dressed. This enforcement extends generally to the entire campus and must be supported by all staff.
It will be recalled that the Board of Studies decision on indecent dressing, as contained in the Internal Memorandum dated 25th January, 2021 with reference number POLY/PER.50 issued by the Registrar and directed to all members of staff, states that no staff member should attend to any student who is indecently dressed in any form. The memo further enjoined all staff to ensure that no attention is given to any student who fails to dress properly, including in the examination halls.
Invigilators are therefore enjoined not to allow any student who violates the institution's dress code into the examination halls.
