A man has reportedly lost ₦130,000 after a woman he met through a dating app allegedly requested money to prepare for a private outing before eventually blocking him.
According to the story shared online, the man had invited the woman to spend time with him at an apartment. Before the planned outing, she reportedly told him she needed ₦85,000 to take care of her hair, lashes and clothing.
The man allegedly sent her ₦100,000 to cover the expenses.
However, the following day, the woman reportedly contacted him again, claiming that her hairstylist had increased the cost of doing her hair.
She allegedly asked him to send an additional ₦30,000 to cover the increased cost.
After receiving the extra money, the woman reportedly blocked the man, leaving him unable to reach her.
The incident has since generated reactions online, with the story raising discussions about financial requests and trust in relationships that begin through dating apps.
