Cement Prices Drop as Dangote, BUA, Lafarge and Others Sell Below N15,000

Cement prices in Nigeria are showing signs of moderation, with major brands including Dangote, BUA, Mangal and Lafarge/HBM now selling around ₦12,000 per 50kg bag in some markets.
According to the latest market report, indicative prices include:
Dangote Cement — ₦12,000
BUA Cement — ₦12,000
Mangal Cement — ₦12,000
Lafarge/HBM — ₦12,000
Linma White Cement — ₦14,000
However, prices still vary depending on location, transportation costs, dealer margins and supply conditions.

The development comes as the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) investigates alleged pricing manipulation in Nigeria's cement industry.

Despite recent moderation, cement remains significantly more expensive than it was in previous years, putting pressure on builders, contractors and prospective homeowners.

At ₦12,000 per bag, 100 bags would cost ₦1.2 million, while the same quantity at ₦15,000 would cost ₦1.5 million—excluding transportation and other construction costs.
