The National Leadership of OLGASU announce the successful conclusion of the preliminary stage of the maiden edition of the Olowo’s Debate and Essay Competition 1.0, held yesterday.
After a keenly contested and intellectually stimulating preliminary round, the following eight (8) outstanding schools have qualified for the Grand Finale scheduled to hold today:
1. New Church Grammar School, Owo
2. Imade College, Owo
3. Owo High School, Owo
4. St. Catherine Girls College, Owo
5. Methodist High School, Owo
6. Adeyeri Comprehensive High School, Iyere-Owo
7. St. Louis Grammar School, Owo
8. Ansar-ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Otapete, Owo
While congratulate all participating schools for their brilliance and all qualified schools for their exceptional performance. We wish them the very best as they prepare for the final showdown.
The Union, on behalf of all Owo students worldwide, expresses our profound gratitude to our Royal Father, the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegeshin Ogunoye III, for his fatherly gesture, royal blessings, and unwavering support towards the success of this historic educational initiative.
