A woman has resorted to social media to defend artist Peter Okoye amid the ongoing issue involving the Okoye family, pleading with social media commentator VeryDarkMan to allow the musician to speak.
In a viral video, the woman said she contacted Peter Okoye directly after falling victim to a $60,000 fraud while pregnant.
According to her, she approached the singer in despair and urged him to intercede by calling VeryDarkMan, who she said might help her with the situation.
The woman stated she contacted Peter after being supposedly duped out of $60,000.
She stated she was pregnant at the time and was deeply upset by the occurrence.
She claimed Peter agreed to talk with VeryDarkMan on her behalf after she pleaded with him to intervene.
The woman also stated that she had paperwork pertaining to the matter and intended to include them in her video.
She also claimed that VeryDarkMan rejected Peter's intervention, despite the singer's attempts to contact him.
She said: “Guys I’m going to attach the video right now, you see that Peter young guy that scammed me, I was the one that called Peter I was pregnant then this is my baby (she show the baby on the video) guys I was pregnant, I called Peter and was crying of how I was scammed $60,000 Peter said okay he’s going to talk to VeryDarkMan I begged him to talk to VeryDarkMan.”
The woman went on to say that Peter had previously backed VeryDarkMan during the social media star's incarceration.
She asserted that Peter made a public plea for VeryDarkMan's release and asked why the latter was now purportedly unwilling to give Peter a chance to defend himself.
“Only for VeryDarkMan to ignore Peter. Ah, that guy is wicked. Now Peter was one of the people when they arrested VeryDarkMan that used this platform. Guys, I mean Peter posted on his page for EFCC to free VeryDarkMan,” she said.
The woman begged Peter to hear the singer's side of the story and accused VeryDarkMan of being unjust to him.
