Temidayo Lawrence Konibaje: BTO Legacy speaks through his People, What does our House Of Rep's Legacy Say

By Temidayo Lawrence Konibaje
A sign of a good leader is not how many followers you have, but how many leaders you create.*Apologies to Mahatma Gandhi*

Over the years, from the days of early beginning, Olubunmi Tunji OJO (BTO) has been up and doing. He has, over the years, demonstrated exemplary leadership and in his magnanimity, he has contributed enormously to the life of many, if not all.

Olubunmi Tunji Ojo politically address as BTo, has, since its time as Member House of Representative in the National Assembly of Nigeria, facilitated many lifetime empowerment and employment letter for his people and also across the length and breadth of Ondo State.

Many are surprised how BTO name continue to echoes in every room and legacy continuously speaks across the nooks and crannies of Ondo state and by proxy, Nigeria.

This isn't a magic, but the results of his collosal contributions towards the life of many and his unmeasurable achievement in the political terrain. His life has influence many and continue to elevate others across the nation.

The mucus beside the plate of gbegiri soup will spoil one's appetite: One must question the rationale behind the illogical character of those who claimed to be the followers of BTO, especially the so called House of Representatives, excluding IFE EHINDERO, whom I have found so worthy, given his significance contributions to the youth demographic of Ondo State, and unflinching Support towards the people across his federal constituency.

To members of the National Assembly representing the good people of Ondo State,
It is pertinent to observe that some of you who were unworthy of a second term narrowly escaped back to power on the political goodwill and formidable platform of a magnanimous statesman, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
While I duly commend his paradigmatic leadership and developmental strides, I am compelled to interrogate the performance of the so called REPRESENTATIVES.
How effective have you been in your respective constituencies? How many of your followers have you economically empowered to the status of millionaires? What legacy projects and sustainable empowerment initiatives have you facilitated within your jurisdiction?
The people deserve answers, not excuses.

I, Temidayo Lawrence, am fully sentient of the national policies established by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his demonstrable commitment to grassroots development.
Many have noticeably experienced his Renewed Hope Agenda through one of its foremost catalysts, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO).
In view of this, I must now grill all other representatives who is under the tutelage of BTO: What have you done to advance the growth and welfare of the youth and every conscientious citizen within your constituency?

It is a serious count on your office that many of you pursue flippancy rather than prioritize your fundamental obligations.
Some of you sit in languor within the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly, while representatives from other geopolitical zones noticeably advocate for the interests of their people.
The evidence is clear, your constituents are under siege by inept leadership.
From Ese-Odo/Ilaje to Idanre/Ifedore, from Okitipupa/Irele to Owo/Ose, from Akure North/South to Akoko South East/South West and Akoko North East/North West.
Having been elected to represent the people, many of you, if not all, have chosen silence over service, and the misappropriation of public funds over the deployment of capital that would set your people on a trajectory of prosperity.

Are you exclusively associating with Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO) to capitalize on his capacity and political structure? The answer, lamentably, is in the acceptance.
Be that as it may, you remain political jobbers inherent in the status quo.
Your alignment with BTO must not become a liability to his shining reputation. Emulate the template and standard he has established. Do not bring misfortune upon yourselves.
Do not be the kind of leader who pillages the public treasury. Rather, be the leader who inflate the voice of his people and sublimate it into collective prosperity and joy.

A Question for the House of Representatives Members Representing Ondo State in the National Assembly of Nigeria:

If Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO) had displayed the same stature of leadership that you presently embody, would he have garnered the national recognition and goodwill he enjoys today?
If he had elected to be a feckless leader like many of you who are currently representing us, would he have become the very person you now run to for support?
The most sarcastic reality is that some of you commenced your tenure concertedly with him during his days as a member of the House.
I implore you to engage in introspection and retrace your steps.
No leader is celebrated in the absence of a verifiable record of service.
You cannot offer the people peanuts when you preside over the factory.
Our rights must never be reduced to privileges..

I charge all of you, individuals Representing the good people of Ondo State in the National Assembly of Nigeria Representatives, to stand in for your people, emulate the leadership of the man who rescue you all from the political lagoon you found yourself. Build your people, established them, there's no greater investment than human development. Invest in the youth, turn your followers to a millionaire so they can as well extend the generosity to the people around them.

I rest my pen for now, until duty calls me to write again.
