MANGU, PLATEAU STATE — Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo has called for urgent help and stronger security intervention following a reported attack on a Christian community in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, where at least 23 people were reportedly killed by gunmen.
Reports circulating on the incident say the attackers stormed the community at night, leaving residents dead, injured and displaced. The violence has reportedly forced surviving residents to flee their homes in search of safety.
Reverend Dachomo, who has consistently raised concerns over attacks on Christian communities across Plateau State, is appealing for immediate intervention to protect residents and prevent further bloodshed.
The cleric has previously documented attacks and mass burials in Plateau and has repeatedly called on the Nigerian government and the international community to take stronger action against armed groups responsible for attacks on vulnerable communities.
The latest reported attack has renewed concerns over the security situation in Mangu, an area that has experienced repeated episodes of violence and displacement.
