Retired Army Officer Survives Gunshot Attack During Kidnapping Incident In Abuja


ABUJA, Nigeria – Retired Nigerian Army Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Michael Eneware has reportedly survived a gunshot wound after suspected terrorists left him for dead during a kidnapping attack in Karshi, Abuja.

According to reports, the attack occurred when armed assailants invaded the area and carried out a kidnapping operation, leaving the retired military officer critically injured.

Eneware was allegedly shot by the attackers and abandoned at the scene after they presumed he had died from his injuries.

Residents and security operatives later rescued the retired officer and rushed him to a medical facility, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The incident has heightened concerns over the growing insecurity in parts of the Federal Capital Territory, particularly in satellite communities that have witnessed a series of attacks in recent months.

Security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the circumstances surrounding the attack or the identities of those responsible.

Authorities have, however, intensified efforts to track down the perpetrators and strengthen security operations in the area.
