Okoye Family Drama: I’ll recover every dollar before forgiving – Morayo Brown’s husband, Femi

TV anchor Morayo Brown's husband, Femi Afolabi Brown, has expressed his opinion on the current conflict between former P-Square brothers Peter and Jude Okoye, stating that he would first collect all of the kobo owed to him before extending forgiveness.

In an episode of The Brown Couch, Femi and his wife discussed the Christian perspective on conflict resolution, namely the role of forgiveness.

He claimed that although he would forgive and move on, he would still pursue the money he was rightfully entitled.

“In my own Christian mind, I will collect all my money back first. I will collect my money back. And I will forgive, and I will forget. I can forgive and forget, but I will continue to pursue my money.

“That money is his future. That’s the future of his children. That’s the school fees of his children, the comfort of his children. Will he now let it go? That’s his sweat. That’s what he worked for. His earnings, legitimately his, to take care of him, his wife and his children, his children’s children,” he said.

When asked why he couldn't just forgive and go on, Femi emphasised that forgiveness wouldn't mean giving up on his attempts to get the money he was due because the sum involved was too big to ignore.

He said “Money that is over $2 million, based on the little calculation I have done by the available information? I can’t let 2 million dollars go o. No. I can’t. I will take it. Whatever I can take. Sell everything you have. Bring all the money in your account. Whatever you can pay out of that $2 million, but I will make sure.

“Because the Bible says that if a thief steals and is caught, he will replenish. He will pay back in sevenfold. Even the Bible says thieves must pay back. Thieves must pay back. So they are meant to pay back. Asking them to pay back is Christian. Do you understand? That’s what the Bible says. Pay back” he added.

When he was queried about what he would utter to Jude if they met, he replied “I can’t. I won’t. I can never have a conversation with Jude. God forbid.
