Not just Tomorrow, The Youth Matter Today: Hon. Taiwo Ilawole for Member House Of Representative Ilaje/Ese Odo Federal Constituency

 BY: TAIWO MEDIA TEAM
I am Taiwo Ilawole, a proud son of Ilaje and a young man who has chosen to step forward at a time when our people are asking for a new direction. I am contesting to represent Ilaje /Ese odo federal constituency in the National Assembly on the platform of the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA), not because I believe leadership belongs to the privileged few, but because I believe every generation deserves the opportunity to contribute to the development of its community. The youth are not merely the future we talk about during political campaigns, we are part of the present, and we have the capacity to lead, serve and deliver.

For years, we have told our young people to wait, wait until tomorrow, wait until they are older, wait until another opportunity comes. But how long should a generation continue to wait when it has the energy, ideas and ability to make a difference today? We cannot continue to celebrate the youth in speeches while excluding them from meaningful participation in governance. This is why I am stepping forward, to demonstrate that youthful leadership can be responsible, courageous and accountable.

Our people are not asking for miracles. They are asking for representation that understands their daily struggles and is prepared to speak for them. They want opportunities for their children, support for farmers and small businesses, better community development, and legislation that addresses real problems. If elected, I will not see the seat of the green chamber as a personal achievement, I will see it as a responsibility entrusted to me by the people. My voice in the House must be the voice of the communities, the young people, the hardworking men and women, and every constituent whose hopes are tied to a better future.

I believe leadership is not about how powerful a person becomes after winning an election, leadership is about how useful that person becomes to the people who gave him their mandate. I want to bring a different understanding of representation. I want our young people to look at the government and believe that they too can participate, contribute and make a difference. I want the people of Ilaje /Ese odo federal constituency to know that their representative can walk among them, listen to them and return to them with results.

This campaign, therefore, is bigger than Hon. Taiwo Ilawole. It is about a generation saying, we are ready. It is about giving the youth a genuine opportunity to prove our capacity. It is about putting service before self the way it is done in Rotary International, people before privilege, and development before empty promises. To the good people of Ilaje /Ese odo federal Constituency, I ask you to stand with me, support me and believe in what we can achieve together. Not just tomorrow, the youth matter today and together, we can bring the dividends of democracy closer to our people.
