A former high school classmate of Omolola Okoye, wife of Peter Okoye, has spoken out in her defence amidst the continuing controversy involving the Okoye family.
The woman, who identified Lola as her closest friend in high school, claims the person being portrayed online is not the woman she has known for years.
She described Lola as nice, tidy, humble, and friendly, recalling how her friends would gather around her in boarding school while she casually swept the room without complaining.
She also described Lola as someone who did not keep grudges and stated she had never seen her intentionally cause difficulties for anyone.
The buddy also said that Lola had always supported Peter's ties with his family and had not prevented him from reconnecting with his brothers.
She remembers being with Lola the day before her wedding and learning later from Peter that his absence was apparently planned.
The woman continued by praising Lola as "the best thing that happened to Peter," noting that what was posted about her on social media did not accurately reflect her character or upbringing.
