Ex-US Navy Officer Adeniran Oyebade Withdraws suits against NDC, Back to APC for Tinubu 2027

Former United States Navy personnel and Ondo Central Senatorial aspirant, Dr. Adeniran Oyebade, has reportedly withdrawn the legal actions he instituted against the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) over the disputed senatorial ticket, signalling a fresh political direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Oyebade, who had previously raised strong objections to the emergence of the NDC senatorial candidate for Ondo Central, is said to have decided to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he is expected to redirect his political structure and grassroots network towards the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The development marks a significant shift from Oyebade's earlier confrontation with the NDC leadership, which included legal proceedings over alleged irregularities surrounding the party's nomination process.

Sources close to the politician said the former US Navy personnel has chosen to put the dispute behind him and concentrate on what he described as the larger political objective of ensuring continuity for the administration of President Tinubu.

According to the sources, Oyebade has begun reactivating his grassroots contacts and political supporters across Ondo Central Senatorial District and ondo state at large as part of a mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 elections.

The move is expected to strengthen the APC's grassroots structure in the senatorial district, particularly as political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections gradually intensify.

Oyebade's return to the APC is also being viewed by his supporters as a strategic decision to consolidate political forces around President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The former naval personnel had, during his previous political engagements, maintained a strong presence among grassroots stakeholders and community leaders in Ondo Central.

His new move is therefore expected to generate interest within APC circles in Ondo State, particularly regarding how his political structure will be integrated into the party's wider mobilisation efforts.

Oyebade formally communicate his decision to withdraw the pending suits and clarify his political position to work for the president Tinubu reelection project, the source said.
