The Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone D, have thrown their weight behind the planned return of Dr. Adeniran Oyebade to the All Progressives Congress (APC), calling on youths across Ondo State to turn out in large numbers for the August 30 political gathering.
The development has continued to generate interest within political circles as Oyebade, a former United States Navy personnel and Ondo-born businessman, prepares to re-engage with the APC.
Reaffirming the youth movement’s support, the NYC Coordinator for Ado Local Government Chapter, Aare Adedara Temitope, said the group remained committed to mobilising young people for the August 30 event and supporting initiatives capable of strengthening youth participation in politics.

According to the youth leader, the proposed return of Oyebade to the APC presents an opportunity for young people to become more actively involved in political conversations and the future direction of Ondo State.
The NYC and NANS Zone D described the August 30 gathering as more than a political event, saying it offers an avenue for youths, students and emerging leaders to engage with developments that could shape the political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The groups noted that Oyebade’s experience spanning public service and business has made his political re-engagement a subject of interest, particularly in areas such as youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, economic development and inclusive governance.
They therefore urged students, youth leaders, community groups and other young people across the state to participate actively in the event and make their presence felt.
“The future belongs to the youths, and our generation must not remain spectators in political developments that directly affect our future,” the groups stressed.
The mobilisation is expected to attract students, youth leaders, political stakeholders and supporters from different parts of Ondo State.
The groups also emphasised that youth participation should go beyond election periods, urging young Nigerians to take an active role in political discussions, community development, policy advocacy and governance.
