Tinubu Will Win 2027 Easily Because Opposition Is in Shambles — Senator Orji Uzor Kalu

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure a comfortable re-election in 2027, arguing that the opposition is too fragmented to mount a credible challenge.

Speaking at an APC gathering, Kalu said Tinubu currently has "no competition" and that opposition parties are "in tatters." He emphasised that winning the Nigerian presidency requires broad national appeal and constitutional spread, not just regional support. According to him, no candidate can win by relying solely on the South-East or any single zone.

Kalu reiterated his aspiration to see an Igbo president but maintained that such a dream can only be realised within a united Nigeria and with support from other regions. He urged Nigerians to assess the Tinubu administration based on its record, rather than being swayed by political rhetoric or social media narratives.

Acknowledging the prevailing economic difficulties, Kalu noted that Nigeria is not alone in facing such challenges, pointing to similar struggles in countries like the UK, US, Canada, Ghana, and South Africa.

He also called for unity within the APC, cautioning that internal divisions could undermine the party's electoral prospects. He urged leaders at all levels to manage grievances effectively, stressing that a cohesive party stands a better chance of retaining power and winning more seats than one weakened by infighting.
