Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that he spends over $200,000 (about ₦300 million) on himself every month, excluding what he spends on his wife, children, jewelry, luxury cars, and household expenses.
Speaking during a livestream with Davrel, the award-winning singer explained that his monthly expenses vary depending on where he is. According to him, he spends much less while in the United States because he enjoys a quieter family life with his wife and children.
However, whenever he is outside the U.S., his spending increases significantly due to his busy schedule, travels, and lifestyle.
“It depends on my location. I spend less in Yankee because I live with just me, my wife, my kids, but when I’m around, it’s a lot more. Normally, $200K–$500K, minus buying jewelry, buying car… Minus my wife and my household,” Davido said.
The revelation has sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the realities of celebrity wealth, luxury living, and the enormous financial demands of maintaining global superstar status.
