Former band member of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, Keji Hamilton, has shared a deeply personal account of his past struggles with drug addiction.
In a candid revelation, Hamilton disclosed that his journey into substance use began with marijuana before escalating to harder drugs, including cocaine, heroin, and PCP, also known as Angel Dust. He explained that his lifestyle at the time—especially touring internationally with the band—exposed him to environments where drug use was prevalent.
I started off with Marijuana, and proceeded to crack Cocaine, heroine. I started touring with the band overseas, I did drugs like PCP - Angel Dust, I did a lot of pills.” He said
