In a bid to promote youth empowerment and economic development, the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Otunba (Hon) Taiwo Adegoroye, in partnership with SHAFTOE GLOBAL RESOURCES, has successfully trained 100 youths on bee farming and honey production.

The training programme, held on Monday at the Odigbo Local Government Secretariat Hall, was designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills in modern beekeeping and honey production, creating opportunities for self-employment and sustainable income generation.

Addressing the participants after the training session, Hon Adegoroye commended the youths for their active participation and cooperation throughout the programme. He emphasized the importance of skill acquisition in today's rapidly changing economic environment.

According to him, “The world is evolving, and to remain relevant and financially stable in today's growing economy, our youths must embrace high-demand skills such as bee farming and honey production. These are viable agricultural ventures with great economic potential.”

The council chairman further encouraged youths across Odigbo Local Government to continually seek opportunities for personal and professional development through skill acquisition. He also urged those who already possess vocational skills to continuously improve and adapt to emerging technological realities.

The Council boss expressed appreciation to the resource person and facilitator of the training, Pastor Olorunyomu, for his dedication, expertise, and selfless commitment to community development.
