A statement attributed to a mother has sparked widespread reactions on social media after she reportedly told her daughter that her marriage was not primarily based on love, but on “managing” her husband.
In the widely circulated comment, the mother said she is only married to the girl’s father because she is “managing him,” adding that in earlier times women would marry any man they had the opportunity to marry.
She said
I am only married to your dad because I am managing him not even mainly because of love, back then you can marry any man you are opportuned to marry.
