Critics have begun questioning the style of leadership allegedly being practiced by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, with some accusing him of abandoning the goodwill and sympathy that followed his difficult political journey under the late administration of former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Many observers had sympathise with Aiyedatiwa during his challenges under the Aketi administration, believing he had been unfairly treated and sidelined. That public sentiment reportedly earned him support across different parts of Ondo State.
However, some critics now argue that the governor is allegedly repeating similar patterns of exclusion and political alienation.
One of the recurring complaints centers around allegations of consensus politics being handled without adequate consultation. Critics claim that leadership requires bringing competing interests together rather than making multiple promises that could eventually create confusion and conflict.
