Ghost ‘Chases’ woman after she spends late husband’s money on another man

A Ghanaian woman, Veronica Asare, has appealed for support after she says a man who promised her marriage took GH¢30,000 meant for her children and disappeared.

She explained that she met the man, identified as Elder Ebenezer, who convinced her to release the money with assurances it would be returned.

“He told me he had money in the bank that he wanted to use for marriage and to build his house.

"I told him the money was not mine but he insisted I give it to him and promised to return it,” she said.

Veronica Asare said she later lost contact with him.

“After giving him the money, three months later, he stopped picking my calls and I have not heard from him since,” she stated.

She added that the situation has left her unable to support her children, especially during a key moment when her eldest child was due to start secondary school.

Beyond the financial strain, she said she has been experiencing distress and believes it is connected to the incident.

“My late husband’s spirit is also tròubling me, so I came here to seek help,” she said.

She said she has not been well and believes her condition is w0rsening.
