The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin Daji, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Kebbi State Assembly Speaker, Mohammed Usman Ankwai.
In a statement released in Minna, Sarkin Daji described the news as shocking and painful. He praised the late Ankwai as a humble and dedicated leader who served his people with commitment.
According to him, Ankwai’s death is not only a big loss to Kebbi State, but also to the entire legislative system in Nigeria.
He also sent his condolences to the government and people of Kebbi State, members of the State House of Assembly, and the family of the deceased.
The late lawmaker reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday after an illness.
He will be remembered for his service and impact.
