An agent of the All Progressives Congress has raised concerns over the Kuje Area Council election results in the Federal Capital Territory, alleging manual accreditation and over-voting in some polling units.
The development was reported by Channels Television on Sunday, February 22, 2026, following the announcement of results in the council.
After the Kuje Area Council results were read, the APC agent queried figures relating to accreditation, claiming that manual entries were recorded contrary to electoral guidelines.
Responding to the allegations, an Independent National Electoral Commission official explained the circumstances surrounding the disputed figures: “When the presiding officer to that unit, when he came, he said, during the election, that they did the BVAS accreditation, and they voted him.
