Writer and relationship commentator Slumflower has sparked widespread debate after sharing her views on money, power, and romantic dynamics.
Speaking on the podcast Off Air, Slumflower discussed how she earns money from men with financial fetishes and why, in her opinion, women should feel confident asking for money in romantic situations.
“Sometimes you will have a man who approaches you and he has a fetish for sending women money. These are the men who will send you money and even block you,” she said.
According to her, the experience strengthened her self-confidence and boldness. She argued that many women are conditioned to feel uncomfortable asking for what they want — whether emotionally or financially.
Slumflower also contrasted cultural attitudes between Nigeria and the UK, stating, “People would rather talk about sex than talk about money. But both are interlinked because sex is about power, money is about power.”
She further revealed that her experience working as a dominatrix sharpened her communication skills and ability to read men’s body language, adding that not all men with certain fetishes are submissive.
