In a recent Facebook video, Prophet Ayodele ignited political discussions with new comments about the future of politics in Oyo State, suggesting a potential party shift involving Governor Seyi Makinde
During his address, Ayodele noted that changes in the political dynamics of Oyo State could reflect broader trends seen across the country, stating, “This is likewise in Oyo State.”
He went on to predict that Makinde might eventually join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), claiming, “Seyi will move to ADC.”
While he did not specify a timeline for this shift, Ayodele hinted at significant political difficulties that could arise from such a move. “He would have been struggling to bring government,” he mentioned, suggesting challenges in garnering support or forming alliances if the transition were to happen.
Ayodele also indicated that Makinde would need to adapt should he defect, saying, “Of course, he himself, when he crosses to ADC,” without offering further details on the implications of such a decision.
His remarks have elicited mixed reactions from political analysts in the state, with some viewing them as speculative while others observe that party switching is a common occurrence within Nigeria’s political arena.
